I had so much fun at my LIVE TV appearance for WBTV Channel 3 in Charlotte on Saturday September 5th! I went on live at 7:41AM with anchor Kristen Miranda and was able to talk about SplenDishes and make my most shared recipe, the Smashed Potatoes, which was posted on Facebook in October 2013 and immediately went viral with over 15 MILLION views, over 530,000 shares and over 8,000 comments!
They liked me so much, I was invited back on November 7th for another segment on my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving! Tune for details.

Terry Webb from Colliers International hosted a Blood Drive with the San Diego Blood Bank on July 30, 2010. Although SplenDishes could not donate blood, we were able to donate to the cause and gave a beautiful gourmet basket to be raffled off at the end of the day. The lucky winner was Shea Simpson! Shea, we hope you are enjoying your goodies! Thanks to all who donated, they exceeded their goal of over 25 donations.
We are happy to have been a part of such a great cause!
Our Tasting Event on August 7th was a huge success! Over 500 people came through and tasted our delicious dipping oils, mustards and double dipped pretzels. We met so many fun and interesting (not to mention, slightly intoxicated!), great people and sold a ton of product!
Thank you to everyone who came out, it was great to see you and we are grateful for all the new friends we were able to meet! Thank you to Emily Brooke who spent the whole day assisting me, who like me has the acceptation gift to gab, we did great! Cheers to South Coast!
The HealthPointe 2.0 Cooking Demo was an even bigger success! HealthPointe 2.0 is a dietary program designed to help you learn how to eat healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle of eating. We took the list of foods and created healthy, gourmet recipes using SplenDishes Spice Blends.
We took a bland chicken breast and perked it up using SplenDishes Rosemary Lemon Salt, grilled it and served it over a hearty baby spinach salad filled with bell pepper, zucchini and cucumber, tossed with a light vinaigrette using SplenDishes House Seasoning.
We wowed the crowd with our Snapper Wraps, a healthy and tasty take on the fish taco. We spiced up a boring snapper filet with SplenDishes Mexican Blend, pan seared it and served in a lettuce cup, topped with a Cilantro Yogurt Sauce and a Pineapple Peach Salsa, both using SplenDishes Mexican Blend.
The Flank Steak Stir Fry was a hit too, we seasoned a flank steak using SplenDishes Asian Blend then grilled it. The steak was served over a bed of wok stir fried cabbage, bell pepper, carrot, onion and bean sprouts, tossed with a Ponzu sauce ( a citrus flavored soy sauce).
Most people think that diet = no dessert…Not true! We created desserts that satisfy that sweet tooth you may have, but are still healthy and good for you! Think grilled peaches with a dollup of Greek Yogurt, seasoned with SplenDishes Pumpkin Pie Spice, or grilled pineapple and banana with homemade white peach frozen yogurt and last but not least fresh berries served over the Greek Yogurt blend, then drizzled with a Balsamic reduction!!!
We sold out of all of our spice blends and had additional orders placed! We are looking forward to the next one already! Thank you to my sister, Lila, whom I couldn’t have done this without!
The July 17th Tasting Event held at Best Wishes was a success! We had lots of people come by and say hello and get a taste of SplenDishes. We sampled many items from the SplenDishes Gourmet Store and sold over 75% of our products! Thanks to everyone who came and welcome to all of our new friends!
