Green Bean Bundles

January 08, 2014

Green beans are delicious on their own, but when your wrap them in bacon, they are amazing.  The bacon fat slowly bastes the beans while they are roasting and the SplenDishes Rainbow Lemon Pepper gives them a zesty pepper filled bite.

Wash and trim green beans and place in a bowl. Lightly drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with SplenDishes Rainbow Lemon Pepper.

Coat beans with oil and Rainbow Lemon Pepper.

Start with half pieces of smoky bacon and lay flat. Place about 8 green beans in a pile in the center of the bacon, bring ends up and tie into a knot.

Continue with remaining beans and bacon and place on baking sheet.

Brush bacon with the oil and spices left in the bottom of the bowl and bake at 400 degrees(f) for about 15 minutes. Then bump oven to broil and broil for about 3-5 minutes until bacon is crispy.

These peppery, smoky bacon and tender beans make an excellent side dish for any meal.
