Ok, now I'll never buy tortillas again!! These were beyond delicious!! A little time consuming, but SO worth it!!
HOMEMADE TORTILLAS
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 Tbs vegetable shortening or lard
1/2-3/4 cup hot water
In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients then cut shortening in, blending until it looks like small peas. Stir in hot water until dough comes together. Kneed dough about 30-40 times then let rest (covered with towel) for about 45 minutes. Roll dough into the size of small golf balls.
Roll balls out to desired thickness and brown on both sides in a hot skillet or griddle. Really simple and so delicious!!

have you tried these gluten free? It is so hard to find anything that tastes good that I can afford.
